I’m Kevin Heslin, a Costa Rica wedding photographer based in Tamarindo

I photograph destination weddings across Guanacaste for couples planning from outside the country.

My focus is on real moments, not just how the wedding looks. but how it FEELS. The reactions, the connections, and the moments with your people that you don’t even see happening at the time.

I’m not there to create trends or turn your wedding into a photoshoot.You still look great in your photos, but nothing feels forced or out of place.

The goal is to create photos that bring you back into the day.
So years from now, you can see how it actually felt to be there, not just how it looked.

I stay present and observant, stepping in when it helps, and staying out of the way when it matters.
That balance is what allows real moments to unfold naturally.

Every wedding is photographed by me personally, so the way you see moments captured in my work is exactly how your day will be documented.
Most of my couples are planning from abroad, and I help guide the day in simple ways so everything feels relaxed and runs smoothly.

HI, I AM KEVIN HESLIN

I keep things simple on a wedding day. Most of the time, I’m observing and documenting what’s already happening. When you need direction, I step in lightly so you never feel unsure or overwhelmed.

The goal is for you to be fully present with your people, not pulled away for constant posing. That gives you a better experience during the day, and it leads to photographs that feel natural instead of forced.

The moments that matter most are usually the ones you can’t plan. A look from your parents during the vows, your friends losing it on the dance floor, the quick in-between moments you never saw happening. Those are the photographs people come back to years later.
