Enjoy the Best All-Inclusive Destination Wedding Experience in Costa Rica

What’s better than a destination wedding? A destination wedding in Costa Rica at all-inclusive resort!

Say goodbye to wedding planning stressors and hello to the ultimate tropical vacation with the love of your life and all your besties.

Check out what getting married at an all-inclusive Costa Rican resort can look like here!

Why Choose an All-Inclusive Wedding in Costa Rica?

Imagine taking all the stress out of planning your wedding by simply buying one wedding package. The vendors may come all rolled up in that package, or your planner will give you a few options to choose from and that’s it.

There’s no endless list of decisions you have to make and all you have to do is pick out your dress.

Another benefit is that you know exactly how much your wedding is going to cost you — as long as you’re clear about what your package includes. All-inclusive resorts usually offer a few different packages as well as upgrades that you can add on when you arrive. Be sure that everything you want is included in the original package so there are no surprises when you arrive.

On top of that, you’ll get to spend (usually) a week in paradise with your sweetie and your closest friends and family. You don’t have to worry about keeping your guests entertained either because the resort has that taken care of. It’s the ultimate way to relax, get married, and have the time of your life.

Where to Get Married at an All-Inclusive Resort in Costa Rica

There are various options for Costa Rica all-inclusive weddings. This is nice because it gives couples the chance to personalize their experience. After all, you want to enjoy an easy, stress-free wedding, but that doesn’t mean you want a cookie-cutter one.

Here are some of my favorite venues for all-inclusive weddings in Costa Rica. Hold on to your hat because this is going to be a fun ride!

Dreams Las Mareas Guanacaste

Dreams Las Mareas Guanacaste is a stunning all-inclusive resort property located on the gorgeous El Jobo beach in the northern part of Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province. It is just an hour and a half away from the international airport in Liberia, making it super easy to access this gorgeous location.

Once you see the largest pool in Guanacaste lazily snaking through the grounds and the view of the Pacific Ocean beyond, you’ll know you’ve arrived in paradise. Surrounded by lush, tropical rainforest, the hotel sits on a gorgeous white sand beach.

A short stroll brings you right to the beach where you can swim in the calm waters or simply sit on the shore and enjoy the sound of the surf.

The hotel promises the height of luxury but works hard to minimize its environmental impact. For its efforts, the hotel has received the Rainforest Alliance Certified mark. The hotel also partners with the Tora-Carey organization, which protects and bolsters the local sea turtle population.

Riu Guanacaste

Located right on the beautiful Matapalo Beach, Riu Guanacaste is a fantastic 24-hour all-inclusive resort. With onsite dining at 4 different restaurants, sports, activites, spa, and more, it’s literally impossible to get bored here.

The hotel offers a customizable 5-star wedding experience with either a beach or garden ceremony spot. You can choose from 4 tiers of extravagance and personalize your experience within each tier to enjoy a wedding that is unique to you.

Riu Palace

For a more private, high-class experience, couples can tie the knot at the adjoining Riu Palace. Set aside a bit from the rest of Riu Guanacaste, Riu Palace Costa Rica is an all-inclusive experience offering more seclusion, yet with all of the same great amenities, more luxurious accommodations, and more.

The wedding package options and customizations are similar with the addition of a 4th story terrace ceremony location.

Los Sueños

Los Sueños is an impressive property in Herradura encompassing a lot. A plethora of vacation condos and villas dot the property around a perfectly manicured golf course. Down on the water there is a gorgeous marina with plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining, and, of course, boating activities like sportfishing.

While this venue is not a strictly all-inclusive option, you can buy all-inclusive packages at the Marriott hotel located on the grounds. With all the advantages of a Marriott Certified wedding planner, you can plan the custom wedding of your dreams from afar with very little fuss.

There are 18 event rooms to choose from, including the Marina Garden with a stunning view of the boats.

Cala Luna Boutique Hotel

What if you really want to immerse yourself in nature in Costa Rica? After all with 6% of the world’s biodiversity crammed into 0.03% of the Earth’s landmass, there’s a lot to see!

An all-inclusive wedding at the Cala Luna Boutique Hotel in Tamarindo, Costa Rica is a fantastic place to do it. Though the Guanacaste area is hot and can get dry, Cala Luna is located in a prime spot that stays green all year round.

On-site activities include relaxing yoga classes and Reiki and Sound Therapy treatments in the spa. Guests can also enjoy a variety of beach activities and adventure activities in the jungle on exclusive tours.

In keeping with the natural health and wellness theme of the hotel, the on-site restaurant offers an array of mouthwatering delights — all made from fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients.

Weddings at Cala Luna are a breeze. They offer 3 complete packages to choose from which they call Classic, Chic, and Tropical that allow you to choose the perfect vibe for you and your sweetie without the hassle of figuring it all out on your own. The full-service wedding coordinator is on hand to plan everything and ensure you get hitched without a hitch!

Dreams Las Mareas

Dreams Las Mareas weddings are gorgeous! Located in Playa el Jobo in Guanacaste might literally be what dreams are made of. Instead of an all-inclusive experience, they call it unlimited luxury. Just to give you an idea, they have a 44,000 square foot infinity pool snaking its way through the property offering plenty of poolside seating and fun for everyone.

With 447 luxury rooms, your entire wedding party can come and live it up with you for a week. With all meals and nearly everything included, the luxury experience at Dreams Las Mareas is perfect for couples looking for a stress-free high-class wedding.

Dreams offers 3 tiers of basic wedding packages from a simple, inexpensive package on up to an extravaganza with all the bells and whistles. Additionally, they promise to combat the “cookie-cutter” wedding image of all-inclusive resorts. Each package offers flexible customizations and the wedding planner encourages couples to send pictures and ideas so they can create the ultimate experience that is all about you!

The Westin Reserva Conchal

The Westin Reserva Conchal is a 2,400 acre all-inclusive eco-friendly retreat that spans the best of both worlds in Costa Rica — the jungle and the beach. With luxury accommodations and a host of included activities including non-motorized water sport, tennis courts, table games, nightly shows, your guests will have plenty to do.

A world class golf course offers a place to practice your swing and you can relax in the spa the day before the wedding to get ready for the experience.

From an intimate beach ceremony to a large extravagant one within the hotel, the Westin offers couples a lot of choices. With 9 venue locations within the resort to choose from, couples can enjoy an outdoor ceremony in a quaint gazebo with a lake view or a zen sky garden by the beach or bring things indoors. The ballroom at the Westin can accommodate up to 800 guests, making this a great option if your all-inclusive destination wedding in Costa Rica will be a large one.

Four Seasons

Nestled on the Papagayo Peninsula, the Four Seasons in Guanacaste offers beaches on both sides of the resort. In addition to the usual onsite dining, spa, and activities you can also go golfing on the resort’s course or grab some bicycles and head out to get some exercise and explore!

The outdoor wedding locations at the Four Seasons offer gorgeous views of both beaches, overlooking Culebra Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Imagine that sunset! Indoor wedding spots are warmly decorated with elements inspired by nature and the local culture.

With three package tiers to choose from, couples can pick the perfect option for their special day. Of course, the onsite wedding coordinator will handle all the preparations for a stress-free day!

JW Marriott Hotel Guanacaste

Located right on the beach in Hacienda Pinilla in Guanacaste, the JW Marriott offers the posh experience that you may be looking for. The hotel boasts a plethora of onsite amenities — spa, fitness center, onsite dining etc. — and plenty of nearby nature activities like trips to the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park, scuba diving, ziplining, fishing, and more!

Weddings are fully customized at this hotel. You get a Marriott Certified Wedding Planner who will handle all the details of your day. Set a budget and tell your planner what is important to you and they will get to work organizing the wedding of your dreams. You can choose from both indoor and outdoor locations to pick the perfect spot to say ‘I do’.

Secrets Papagayo

Kids are a joy, but you might prefer a more intimate adults-only experience for your wedding. You can get that at Secrets in Papagayo, Guanacaste. The resort offers amenities that are centered around igniting romance (although it’s your wedding so you’re probably already on fire!) Regardless, you (and your guests) will enjoy taking advantage of couples’ packages at the spa or just lounging around the pool. There’s even waiter service both by the pool and on the beach!

Secrets offers three wedding packages with full-service wedding planning. Enjoy a gazebo or beach ceremony location and choose from the amphitheatre, beach, or terrace for the reception. Whatever you choose, you will be surrounded by beauty and elegance at this excellent 5-star resort.

Villa Punto de Vista

Although not a typical All Inclusive Villa, This amazing villa, Punto de Vista is always an incredible option. This luxurious villa tucked in the jungles of Manuel Antonio on 2.5 acres of private land, is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from four of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The house is a short drive away from the entrance to the world-renowned Manuel Antonio National Park. Plus, there are a plethora of activities available in the area including zip lining, ATV riding, horseback riding, sport fishing, catamaran tours, and more!

The secluded luxury villa offers all the amenities you’d expect at a 5-star hotel but with no other guests around. On-site staff keep everything pristine and your personal chef will serve up delicious local flavors each morning and for any other meals you choose.

The Villa can accommodate up to 30 people so your guests can all stay under the same roof. If you need a bit more space, the nearby sister villa, Villa La Isla, can accommodate up to 18 more.

The wedding planner at Villa Punto de Vista has all the best vendors in the area on speed dial and all you have to do is pick your preferences. They’ll even send someone to pick you up directly from the airport!

There are so many stunning backdrops that I love this villa for photographing weddings. Check out this one and this other one to see why! Or click on the link below to see my full resource guide for the Villa.
