Ringing in the New Year: A New Year’s Eve Wedding in Costa Rica

A New Year’s Eve wedding! This year I welcomed in the New Year with Jessica and Jamie at Hotel Sugar Beach in Guanacaste.  Jessica and Jamie had been planning this wedding for over a year and it showed in the details.

First, Sugar Beach Hotel is a gorgeous local for a wedding.  It is right on the water with picturesque islands right off the shore.  In addition, we had Maria Roldan as the wedding planner who was able to incorporate all the elements of the celebration, from an elegant beachside pre-rehearsal dinner the evening before to a retro candy table at the reception.

Most importantly, Jessica and Jamie are a great couple with the best outgoing personalities that seem to attract quality friends and family.  There were at least 4 speeches in those two days that were some of the best I’ve heard in all my years photographing weddings.
