Getting Engaged in Costa Rica
Vacations with your sweetie are already a great adventure and a memorable experience. Getting engaged on vacation is the icing on the cake. That’s exactly what this adventurous couple did right before they found their way in front of my camera.
Danielle and Andrew came to Costa Rica a happy couple on vacation. By the time they left, she had a ring on her finger, they had an awesome photo shoot to commemorate the occasion, and they were both smiling from ear to ear.
Getting Engaged on Vacation
There are few things more romantic and adventurous than taking a tropical vacation together. Plus, Costa Rica has no shortage of romantic and adventurous activities to do. From ziplining through the rainforest to fishing for that elusive sailfish, there’s something for virtually every couple to enjoy.
Danielle and Andrew love fitness and sporty type activities. They’re into Crossfit and, as you can see from the photos, their hard work has paid off.
So, naturally, when they came to Costa Rica, they were not afraid to explore the rainforest on foot. During their hike through the breathtaking Manuel Antonio National Park, Andrew found the perfect moment to pop the big question. What a perfect opportunity for getting engaged!
To commemorate the experience, they opted for a couples photo session with me on the beach the next day.
Why a Couple’s Shoot?
A couple’s shoot is a fun way to spend time together on your vacation. You get to document a little of what your relationship looks like right now, at this point in time. The right photographer (ahem, like yours truly) will know how to help you relax and be yourselves in front of the camera.
Plus, once you get your prints you have tangible memories in hand that you can hang on your wall. Instead of buying a cheap trinket as a vacation souvenir, you’ll have quality photographs that you can cherish for years to come.
In this case, Danielle and Andrew are a fun-loving couple that likes to laugh and smile a lot. It was pretty easy to coax those big smiles out of them during the shoot. After all, in addition to being naturally that way, they had just finished getting engaged the day before! They had a lot to be smiling about!
They wanted to incorporate their love for fitness into the shoot and things worked out perfectly. We did some fun poses on a cool tree and, as you can see, we even found a pull-up bar for them to pose on!
Your Tropical Getaway
Even if you’re not planning on getting engaged on vacation, a tropical getaway is a fantastic idea for any couple. Taking the opportunity to have a couple’s shoot is a great way to commemorate your vacation.
Let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to have a gorgeous photo of them and their special someone together on an exotic beach? That’s the type of photograph that goes front and center in the living room or gets a spot of honor on your desk.
Who knows? Maybe the romance and adventure will inspire you to take the plunge like Danielle and Andrew did. And if it doesn’t that’s okay too. Just enjoy each moment that you have together as a couple and take life as it comes.
