Bejuco: One of the Best Jaco Beaches in Costa Rica for a Wedding
I love weddings at Bejuco Beach. As it is a long, undeveloped beach, it feels like such a remote stretch of coastline. This creates the perfect backdrop for an intimate destination wedding. Though it’s about half an hour from the town’s center, this makes it one of the best Jaco beaches in Costa Rica in my opinion.
Pre-ceremony portraits were fun with the help of some creative groomsmen, a beautiful bridal party, and a furry friend. Winston asked for a photo with his groomsmen featuring glasses of whiskey, shades, and some bright flamingo printed swimwear.
Once the guys were fully dressed and they returned to the same spot we were photobombed by a beach dog who even smiled for the camera. Back in the bride’s room, I captured the time she spent with her friends before the wedding and snapped a few photos of her before and after slipping into her dress. The first look with Jenna’s father was especially touching.
It was obvious to everyone present that this wedding was special by the way that Jenna and Winston looked at each other walking down the aisle. Their ceremony was filled with laughing and crying, emotions were high.
It was an incredible thing to see how much love for each other these two had. When it was all over, Jenna and Winston danced their way down the aisle. After a few congratulations were said, we headed down the beach for the portrait session.
Playa Bejuco: One of the Best Jaco Beaches in Costa Rica!
No destination wedding is complete without a portrait session after the ceremony. Playa Bejuco is an ideal place for photographs with endless sand and ocean in the background. This is what makes Jaco beaches in Costa Rica so greatl
We were also lucky the wind was up that day and we got some great images of Jenna’s dress blowing in the breeze. As the sun went down, Jenna took a sip from Winston’s flask she had gifted him before the ceremony and we were visited one last time by our furry friend before heading inside for the night.
Later, at the reception, the two were introduced to their wedding party. The couple’s first dance was very sweet with the majority of the guests tearing up. After the toasts, everyone started dancing. At one point the power went out, but that didn’t stop the party of course! Everyone was happy to celebrate the night with candlelight.
