Wedding Details

So you’re taking the plunge and traveling to an exotic place for your wedding. Congratulations! An adventurous trip to Costa Rica is the perfect way to start the biggest adventure of your life.

By choosing a destination wedding, you’ve cut down on the stressful details of your wedding by at least 90%. However, there are a few things you’ll want to plan on bringing with you, depending on the type of ceremony/reception you’re planning to have.

Check out this ultimate details checklist for a destination wedding in Costa Rica so you don’t miss a thing!

Ready to Rock Your Wedding Details?

Below is a long details checklist of a destination wedding in Costa Rica and I hope it’s helpful to you. Dealing with last-minute wedding details can be quite the hassle, but it will be a lot easier of you’ve planned ahead of time. What’s more, bringing items that are hard to get here (or expensive) will cut down on the worries of the day.

If you’re looking for inspiration, I’ve added links to galleries of wedding details photos so you can see what others have done for arbors, bouquets, favors, and other decorations.

Once you get here, don’t worry if a few small things don’t go as planned. You’re here, you’re together, and you’re getting married — that’s what matters.

¡Pura Vida! — as they say in Costa Rica!

Wedding Jewelry

Pick out your jewelry well ahead of time and bring it with you. I don’t recommend waiting until you get here to pick something “beachy” or “tropical” from a souvenir shop. You never know what you’ll find and you don’t … Read More

Your shoes are another important thing to pick out well ahead of time and bring with you. Personally, I’ve never teetered around in high heels, but even so, I don’t recommend it on the beach. If your ceremony and reception … Read More
