Romantic Elopement at Villa Caletas

Dmitriy and Anna are an awesome couple from Russia, who came to Costa Rica to have their romantic wedding at Villa Caletas.  As they were here for a couple of weeks they asked me to do a short engagement session the day before the wedding at Jaco beach.

We decided to do the engagement session early in the morning so that the photos would have a totally different look than the photos from the romantic elopement ceremony which would take place in the late afternoon light.  It was drizzling a little bit in the morning but Dmitriy and Anna were champs and we got some great photos.

The day of the wedding I arrived early enough to take some photos of them getting ready.  They had planned to get ready in the same room, which was a nice break from tradition and it gave them a chance to interact and relax a little before the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we were able to walk around the grounds in Villas Caletas and look for interesting places to shoot and watch the dramatic colors over the Pacific after the sun went down.
