What's More Exotic than a Tropical Beach Wedding? Nothing!

A couple months ago I was honored to be the photographer at Carlie and Jake’s wedding here in Costa Rica. Gaia Hotel hosted the wedding, with the ceremony on the beach in Manuel Antonio.

We had been having weird weather lately, so we all knew there was a possibility of rain. But Carlie and Jake were super excited and ready for anything.

It worked out perfect, where the rain held off for the ceremony and the family portraits afterwards. Then, everyone except Carlie, Jake and I packed into the vehicles and headed back to the hotel, while the three of us stayed at the beach to brave the rain.

For portraits, rain can be really fun, and give a totally different look to the photos. But it cleared up quickly, and made for some great light to finish the session. After the beach, the speeches and the first dance were held at the restaurant in Gaia, that overlooks the beautiful coastline of Manuel Antonio.
