A Wedding Venue with a View
A couple months ago I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Karina and Greg’s wedding at the hotel Costa Verde in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Karina and Greg are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met. It was such an interesting coincidence that Karina and Greg now live in the Boston area where I am from, and Karina and her family are originally from Costa Rica, where I live now.
Moreover, Karina and Greg and their family and friends were super welcoming to me. The whole celebration felt like a really close-knit group, even though the two sides of the families live in different countries.
Terrace-Top Wedding
We started the day with photos of Karina getting ready with her friends. It was a great room choice, as they could see all the preparations for the ceremony below from their balcony. The ceremony area itself was on Costa Verde’s terrace that looks out over the National Park in Manuel Antonio.
From there, you can see the islands and the waves crashing into the Coastline. After the ceremony, we got a few photos of bigger groups at the hotel, and then a smaller group of us headed down to the beach for portraits. It was a gorgeous day, with a stunning sunset, and Karina and Greg were super relaxed completely enjoying the moment and it shows in the photos.
We then headed up to the hotel for the reception in the event center at Costa Verde. We had the huge space to ourselves. After really funny and emotional speeches by Karina’s brother and father, everyone let loose on the dance floor.
