Wedding Reception Party in Paradise at Villa Caletas

One year after photographing Lara and Steve’s engagement session in Jaco, we finally celebrated their wedding day at Zephyr Palace overlooking the Pacific Ocean here in Costa Rica. It was a gorgeous, 8-hour event, and I was honored to shoot the wedding with Ale Sura as the second photographer.

Ale started the day photographing the guys getting ready at Los Sueños Marriot Ocean and Golf Resort in Herradura. Meanwhile, I photographed the bride and the other girls in their room at Zephyr Palace in Villa Caletas. As they were two totally different venues, we were able to get very different photos of the groups getting ready.

The ceremony was held in the amphitheater that overlooks the ocean and has a gorgeous view of the sun setting over the water. Afterward, Ale and I were able to take Lara and Steve for a walk around the property to get some unique shots.

In the ballroom, it was a grand fiesta with everybody working it on the dance floor. We ended the epic night with fireworks over the pool at midnight, with the whole wedding party jumping into the pool to end the night. It truly was perhaps the most epic wedding reception party in paradise that I’ve seen!
