Dawn and Brian
Dawn and Brian had a relaxed beach wedding at Riu Palace Costa Rica in Guanacaste. Their friends and family traveled in to celebrate with them, and the whole day felt easy from the start.
The setting is simple and works well for destination weddings. Everything is close, and guests can move through the day without stress.
Getting Ready at Riu Palace Costa Rica
While Dawn was getting ready in the couple’s suite, Brian spent time with some of his best friends in the sports bar having a beer and writing out his vows. It was evident that these two had great supportive friends who came with them on their journey to have a destination wedding. After Dawn and Brian finished getting ready with their wedding parties it was time for the first look.
Everything stayed close, which made the timeline simple and easy to manage.
First Look Inside the Resort
We chose to do their first look inside one of the bars. The space had bold color and mirrors, which gave us something different from the usual beach setting.
It added variety to the gallery before heading outside later in the day.
Beach Ceremony at Riu Palace Costa Rica
The ceremony took place on the beach, with the ocean and mountains behind them. The setting is one of the main reasons couples choose this location. The light stayed soft, and the whole moment felt relaxed and personal.
During the portrait session on the beach, we captured the couple naturally interacting as the sun dipped over the mountains behind them. Then we headed to the reception hall at Riu to capture Dawn and Brian dance the night away with their friends.
