A Resort Elopement for a Truly Romantic Experience in Costa Rica

A Real Resort Elopement

Last month I was lucky to have the chance to photography Courtney and Peter’s wedding at the beautiful Arenas del Mar Hotel and Reserve, in Manuel Antonio. Courtney and Peter decided to come to Costa Rica alone and have an intimate resort elopement on the beach.

They thought that Costa Rica would make an awesome location for their beautiful, simple, destination wedding. I might be biased, but I certainly agree that Costa Rica in general, and Manuel Antonio specifically, is totally the best place for a resort elopement. It is a romantic escape for any couple whether they’re looking for adventure or luxurious surroundings.

It was a tender ceremony, and I liked how the two of them decided to walk together to the beach, as it was different from the traditional groom waiting on the beach as the bride makes her walk. We had clouds rolling in during the ceremony and knew that there would be a chance of rain, but Courtney and Peter had the best attitude and were up for anything.

When the rain finally did arrive, they were in the groove totally enjoying each other, and we were able to capture some unique photos. 

Ultimately what makes any place the best place for a resort elopement is that you and your special someone love the spot and enjoy your time together.
