Vanessa and Ernesto also thought Punta de Vista would make an amazing spot to say their wedding vows. To make the wedding perfect, they had it planned by Karen at Tropical Occasions, who brought their dream wedding to life.
A Rekindled Flame
Vanessa and Ernesto have a cool love story based on a long-term friendship. They met at the tender age of twelve and dated for 7 years through adolescence. However, when they went off to college, they each went their own way. This was great because they had the opportunity to learn who they each truly are.
After 3 years of silence, Ernesto reached out to Vanessa once more. They started dating again to see what would happen. Things went pretty well because now they own a house together and ended up here in Costa Rica in front of my camera for an awesome destination wedding. Apparently, the sparks never dwindled as much as they might have thought!
Vanessa and Ernesto were interested in a destination wedding and were looking at Costa Rica (and other destinations) because they loved the tropical beauty. However, once they saw this epic villa, they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. This was the spot for them.
Ceremony and Reception Overlooking the Sea
The villa rises up out of the rainforest giving you a bird’s-eye view of the world-famous Manuel Antonio Beach. You can also see the iconic little isles just off the coast. Looking out, the Pacific Ocean unfolds in front of you in an endless sea of blue. Eventually, it drops away over the curve of the Earth.
Vanessa and Ernesto, they had a smallish wedding with about 30 people in attendance. It was the perfect size for this rooftop paradise. To keep off the hot Costa Rica sun, there is a little roof. They used this to hang billowy yards of white fabric and flowers to make the space absolutely stunning.
While we were outside for group photos and down at the beach for bridal portraits, the staff at Punta de Vista transformed the ceremony space into an exquisite reception hall. Candles and mood lighting gave the space a romantic glow. Plus, there was plenty of space for everyone to have a spot at the table with enough room in the center for a dance floor.
