Casa Romantica celebrates same-sex wedding in Manuel Antonio

Earlier this month I was honored to photograph Erick and Tim’s same-sex wedding at Casa Romantica in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.  Erick and Tim were such a great, laid back couple, with such an awesome energy about them.  In the photos you can see their chemistry and happiness.

Casa Romantica served as the perfect venue for the wedding, giving us a jungle view for the ceremony, beautiful gardens all around the property, as well as interesting architecture that was impressively illuminated as the sun went down.  Because it was such an intimate gathering of friends and family there were plenty of emotional moments throughout the day.  A tender moment during the ceremony was when the officiate asked all the attendees to lay their hands on the wedding couple for a moment to give them their blessing.

The rain held off for a while and the first dance was on the open deck under the stars.  The perfect way to end an emotional celebration.
